Mastering the Weather
Last year's droughts and hosepipe bans, followed by this year's floods serve to highlight the importance of rainfall on people's lives.
Not surprisingly, the summer of 2006 helped to drive the rainwater market to new heights with growth in excess of 100% being revealed by the recent UK-RHA survey. Very surprisingly, perhaps, this year's downpours appear, if anything, to be expanding the market still faster.
This trend reflects the growing maturity in the UK rainwater harvesting industry - and the potential of the technology to play a strong role in water-supply issues and a smaller, yet still helpful, role in overall SUDS planning.
